WBIIDC, a statutory organization of Govt. of West Bengal, established under Act. XXIV of 1974 to secure development of trade, commerce and industries in a planned manner in the state of West Bengal.
Management Board comprises officials of Government Departments, Presidents of leading Chambers of Commerce & Corporate leaders under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble MIC, C&I Department, GOWB.
Chief Executive Officer, the main functionary is a Government nominee & Ex-Officio member of the Board. |

12 Functional Industrial Growth Centres entirely at WBIIDC's initiative have been developed. |

3 Growth Centres are under implementation, incorporating PPP model also. |

WBIIDC till recently had kept its activities in the periphery of industrial infrastructure but in recent past has extended its infrastructural activities to the areas of Trade & Commerce, Housing, Basic Health, Stadium & Sport Complex etc. |
